Sports Awareness Contest -
In order to provide children with a unique experience that would allow them to learn
about different types of sports throughout their community and the world, IASC
sponsored a "Sports Awareness" contest.  We asked for students to investigate and
list all types of sporting activities.  Over 80 Buffalo Schools took part in this contest,
with three winners from the elementary school, and three from the high school.
Over 600 applications were received.  There were a total of 425 sports recognized.
  • Promote sports teams and organizations from all ages and skill levels
  • Encourage living a healthy, active lifestyle by showing all of the different options there are available for children and young adults to participate in sports
  • Promote sportsmanship on and off the field
